By Tracker or Magic Car : From Canning Station you can take Magic car / Tracker (Sharing basis) for Rs. 20/- per head only for Godkhali.

If you are planning to go by driving your own car, you can do so. From Science city there are two ways, i) Baruipur-Canning Road ii) Basanti High Way, set GPS map to Godkhali ferry ghat and reach there by 3 hrs ride.

If you traveling singly then it may be bit of costly, there is another way to curtle the charge of boat fare by going directly to Pakhirala, take a sharing ferry service for Gosaba, and from there you can take pvt toto or Auto for Pakhirala for Rs. 300. Now you need to merge in a group for jungle ride, although best time to start the boat ride is within 9 am from Pakhirla. If you are not very familiar to contact any boat, you can talk with the Hotel manager to arrange a sharing boat. They are very helpful. 

If you don't have that time to start the journey for Jungle ride, you can stay the first day by seeing some local sight seeing like Kabiguru Bungalow, Hamilton Bungalow at Gosaba site, and by before evening take country side small boat for Bird's island. During winter seasons you can be amazed by seeing lots of migrated birds there.
